After a successful launch, Active Future Leicester is bringing dodgeball to the children of Leicester regardless of their skill, needs and abilities! These free sessions will be starting at Winstanley School in Braunstone Town on the 17th November 2021, 6pm to 7pm, and are free for all children aged 6-12 years old to attend their first two sessions! Sessions for older children are currently in development.
Held at Winstanley School, Kingsway North, Braunstone Town, Leicester, LE3 3BD, which is well equipped for the session featuring a large, well-lit multisport hall, Active Future Leicester attempt to instil a love of movement and encourage life-long participation in sport and activity. Attempting to reach children who would previously be unable to experience the amazing sport of dodgeball, Active Future Leicester aims to create an environment of inclusivity and fun, where competition is not the primary driver of athletic success and instead focuses on personal development and improvement.
With specialist, qualified coaches ready to deliver the sessions, Active Future Leicester want to promote their inclusive sessions of dodgeball as being suitable for anybody, regardless of athletic ability, skill or experience. Focusing on enjoyment means children are free to play dodgeball without concern for how their skills and abilities stack up against their peers.
Like all of Active Future Leicester’s sessions, ranging from Futsal through to Fortnite Nerf Camps and even Hunted, spaces are limited due to their sheer popularity and children and parents are invited to register their interest in the upcoming dodgeball sessions via Active Future Leicester’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/activefutureleicester) or by emailing andrew.hill@activefuture.info.
Fostering an environment of inclusivity that allows players to grow into the game of dodgeball and have fun, Active Future Leicester are in talks with a range of organisations and specialist coaches to develop new activity and sport sessions so there is something for everyone! Active Future Leicester believes in offering sports and activity provision at an affordable cost with session fees from £6 per session.
