Rules

Reviewed: February 2022

This page sets out the rules associated with our sessions and games. Each regular session may have its own individual rule sets relevant to the needs and demands of the session and these rules can be found on the web pages concerning those specific sessions.

By attending any of our sessions, you agree to be bound by these rules and any other policies or rules found here.

General Rules

  1. You must treat all players, staff, visitors and contractors with respect at all times.
  2. You must not deliberately or willingly harm another player including making them feel harassed, intimidated or bullied.
  3. You must arrive on time for all sessions, any players arriving late must inform the session lead as soon as possible and must not cause any disruption to other players when they arrive.
  4. When a session lead is offering instruction to the group, calling to order or winding up a session, all players must listen and stop any behaviour which may be disruptive, this could include talking loudly, bouncing balls or distracting other players.
  5. All players must wear suitable clothing for taking part in our sports and any players not wearing suitable clothing may not be permitted to take part.
  6. All players must bring with them a bottle of water to remain hydrated at all times.

Under 12’s

This section sets out the rules applicable to any sessions or activities that include players under the age of 12 years. These rules also apply to players over the age of 12 years old where there are players under the age of 12 present. These rules also apply to children who are 12 years old.

  1. No headshots; we can’t be clearer enough about this. Players under the age of 12 are more vulnerable to injury and headshots are not permitted in any of our games except where players are wearing suitable protective headwear.
  2. All players under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a known adult, all parents/guardians must inform us if an adult not known to us is to collect their child, this is for safeguarding purposes. Where an adult wanting to collect a child is not known to us, regardless of whether the child knows the adult or not, the child will not be permitted to leave the premises and the police may be called if there are any attempts to force the child to leave the premises without consent from their parent/guardian.
  3. We should be informed before the session if a child is to make their own way to the session or if they will be brought to the session by an adult not known to us. We recommend and advise that children under the age of 12 are not permitted to come to the session unaccompanied by an adult. We will never permit a child under the age of 12 to leave the session alone, in the event of an emergency such as the parent taking ill and no alternative known adult being able to collect them, with permission and at our discretion, we may accompany the child to you or to a known adult; charges may be applied if this is required. If there is no known adult available to who we can bring the child, we will need to call the police or social services for the provision of temporary care and safeguarding.
  4. If any parents/guardians/known adults wish to leave their children during the session and collect them at the end of the session, we ask that you arrive at least five minutes before the end of the session. If at the end of the session, you have not returned, a further charge of £40 per hour with a minimum charge of £40 will be due. We are not authorised by Ofsted to act as childminders and we do not offer any childminding services.
  5. Children under the age of 12 years old must not leave the venue at any time, even to go to the toilet (this includes toilets adjoining the venue) without first informing a member of staff. The “venue” means the immediate room in which the session is taking place. Where a child exits the venue for any reason without notifying a member of staff, they may be barred from future sessions and the police may be called in accordance with our missing persons policy which can be found here.

Under 16

These rules apply to players under the age of 16 who are attending sessions exclusively made up of children who are 13 years or older. If there are any players aged 12 or younger present during the session then the Under 12’s rules apply.
